2018 Cadillac Escalade Review, Engine Specs, Release Date, Performance and Price Tag

A few years ago, when Cadillac was losing steam, the brand decided to make a relaunch. At the time, Cadillacs were only good for pensioners. And ever since, they never looked back again.

One of the most iconic models of Cadillac is, without any question the Escalade. They are simply huge and they hardly pass unnoticed. On its fourth generation, there is a new 2018 Cadillac Escalade ready to be launched in the market. And if there’s something we can expect from the brand is that the 2018 Cadillac Escalade will remain big.

2018 Cadillac Escalade Release Date

We believe that the new 2018 Cadillac Escalade should be released in the second part of 2017. Since this is only an intermediate upgrade, there shouldn’t be any special event programmed around it.

2018 Cadillac Escalade Price

Despite the fact that the 2018 Cadillac Escalade is going through an upgrade, we believe the prices should remain about the same level. So, you can expect a starting price for the 2018 Cadillac Escalade around $74,000.

2018 Cadillac Escalade Redesign and Changes

The current generation of the Escalade is simply beautiful. So, the exterior changes we might see on the 2018 Cadillac Escalade should be minimal.

We are expecting to see maybe a few changes on the front that should include some redesigned headlights to match. GM should also incorporate the LED matrix technology.

2018 Cadillac Escalade Specs

Under the hood is the place where the major changes are going to happen in the 2018 Cadillac Escalade.

We all know about the eco-friendly trend but the 2018 Cadillac Escalade couldn’t care less about it. So, you can expect to see a tremendous 6.2-liter V8 engine which is capable of producing 420 of horsepower and 460 pounds-feet of torque.

In what concerns the transmission, the 2018 Cadillac Escalade should come equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which was recently released by GM.

2018 Cadillac Escalade Interior

Looking at the interior of the new 2018 Cadillac Escalade, you can expect to see Alcantara and leather everywhere you look at, along with some cool wood dashes across the entire cabin.

The 2018 Cadillac Escalade will be capable of housing up to 9 passengers, with a huge space for both heads and legs.

Everyone inside the 2018 Cadillac Escalade will be able to take advantage of all the technology that GM is going to include in this model: a heated steering wheel, heated and cooled seats, park assist, driver HUD, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, collision monitoring, TV screens, massaging seats, and rear seat entertainment. After all, if there’s one thing that doesn’t miss Escalades is space.

One of the critics that were made to the current generation of the Escalade was the CUE system. The touch controls weren’t accurate, the system was clunky, it would easily distract the driver, the layout was complicated, and the menus were complex, just to mention a few complaints. So, GM has already taken care of this problem and the new 2018 Cadillac Escalade should now include a reworked and refined version of the CUE system. They actually made it so great that is seems that you’re using your smartphone.
